Agriseta is offering five (5) internship positions for a period of 24 months at their Head Office in Pretoria. The primary purpose of this internship is to provide administrative and data support to the Skills Planning & Research Division at AgriSETA. Interns will work closely with the Assistant Manager and other internal teams to ensure data is accurately captured, verified, and reported.


Role Context

The Skills Planning & Research Interns will function within the Skills Planning & Research Division and will play a critical role in supporting AgriSETA’s operations by managing data efficiently. This includes maintaining databases, ensuring quality control, preparing reports, and assisting with research-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Capturing

  • Maintain and update AgriSETA’s database to enable efficient data retrieval.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the validity and accuracy of data.
  • Provide weekly data reports to the Assistant Manager.
  • Retrieve reports from the Management Information System (Indicium) and forward them to relevant stakeholders for payment purposes.
  • Prepare and submit SETMIS reports quarterly to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Compile reports requested by DHET and management for review.
  • Provide data trend analysis from AgriSETA’s database to support decision-making.
  • Maintain documented proof of captured information for auditing purposes.
  • Verify, enroll, and authorize learner information relating to various learning programmes, partnerships, and other stakeholders.

2. Management of Data

  • Compile requested data sets efficiently.
  • Maintain various data sets to support organizational objectives.

3. Administration

  • Assist with basic administrative tasks.
  • Ensure that administrative processes within the division are consistently followed and up to date.

4. Ad-Hoc Tasks

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager Reporting to support divisional operations.

Internal and External Contacts

Interns will liaise with all divisions within AgriSETA and may occasionally engage with external stakeholders and government departments relevant to skills planning and development.


Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess at least one of the following:

  • N6 Certificate
  • Diploma
  • Equivalent qualifications in Office Administration, Office Management, or any other relevant field.
